The day-ahead dispatching of reactive power, such as shunt compensators and distributed generations (DGs), to reduce network losses was studied in the paper considering forecast errors of DGs real power. The data used in the research is wind speed in Heilongjiang province, China on 1st October 2008. The data comprises photovoltaic power, wind power and load as a demand all as a function of time in a 24-hour period. The data generated from the research estimates the total cost of operation including network loss and switching cost of shunt compensator. The constraint of voltage deviation used in the research was between 0.93-1.07pu.
