This is the complete data set for the research article "A Spectral Element Formulation of the Immersed Boundary Method for Newtonian Fluids" by CF Rowlatt and TN Phillips, accepted for publication in Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering on August 2015(DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.cma.2015.08.010). It comprises (i) files for the computational models for the immersed boundary method for Newtonian flows using the spectral element method; and (ii) files with the data for producing energy versus time graphs for different time discretization schemes; area versus time graphs for different spatial discretization parameters; locations of the immersed boundaries; velocity vector plots for different spatial discretization parameters; contour plots of the computed pressure. Research results based upon these data are published at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cma.2015.08.010
