Description

As part of the Ofgem Electricity Network Innovation Competition (ENIC) project, ANGLE-DC aims to demonstrate a novel network reinforcement technique by converting an existing double 33 kV AC circuit into DC operation, i.e. an MVDC (medium voltage DC) link between the isle of Anglesey and North Wales.

This
dataset includes the network data of Anglesey, i.e. network topology, line impedance, demand and generation data, and the optimal set-points of the MVDC link considering different operational objectives. A schematic of the 33 kV Anglesey network and a portion of the network on the mainland in North Wales are also included.

Research results based upon thess data are published at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.apenergy.2018.08.077
