This is the complete data set and the associated plotting routines for producing the figures in the research article "Droplet Dynamics on Chemically Heterogeneous Substrates" by N Savva, D Groves and S Kalliadasis, accepted for publication in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics on 17 Sep. 2018. The data set contains (i) simulation results (contact line evolution) of the governing long-wave model, as well as of the asymptotic models which were derived from the analysis developed in the paper, (ii) data required to describe some of the surface heterogeneity profiles used in the simulations and (iii) values of the parameters arising from the asymptotic analysis, which are needed for a numerical implementation of the simplified models. Specific simulation cases considered include of surfaces with - chemical gradients; - stripes of alternating wettability; - randomly placed patches of variable wettability; - spatially varying wettability according to a dartboard pattern; - spatially varying wettability according to a combination of a chequerboard pattern and a chemical gradient; - small patches of lower wettability arranged in a hexagonal grid. For each case a short description of the data is included, along with MATLAB scripts to visualise the data.
